Crafting is the act of combining one or more Material themes to forge a finished product. Typical combos examples: - ![[Tech.png]] + ![[Minerals.png]] = Machina (a mechanical construct) - ![[Plant.png]] + ![[Aether.png]] = Elixir (an arcane Drug) - ![[Minerals.png]] + ![[Tissue.png]]+ ![[Aether.png]] = Golem (a living stone golem) Measurements - Bits: Small amounts of a material. Make a resource roll for that theme when it costs Bits.  - Bunches: Larger, more significant volumes. The Resources is automatically downgraded. - Bulk: Entire Stockpiles. An entire d20 tag is consumed per unit required. Size - Tiny: Items smaller than a hand like drugs, ammunition, lock picks, and trinkets, Use Bits for every resource - Large: larger than a hand but smaller than a person like weapons, small Machina, and armor, use Bunches.  - Huge: anything larger than a person like Golems, Large Machina, and Transports use Bulk for every resource.  Time Crafting is generally a time intensive task but can wildly vary from creation to creation. The following time intervals are guidelines and are up to the discretion of the dealer.  - Tiny: can be crafted in rests scenes or recovery scenes.  - Large: Can be crafted in intervals of Recovery scenes or one downtime scene.  - Huge: Can only be crafted in downtime scenes, and may require multiple intervals depending on the project. Success The opposition roll of crafting is based on the grade of the creation desired. The dice rolled always equals the tier of the creation.  - Exotic: 5d(x) - Premium: 4d(x) - Basic: 3d(x)  - Discount: 2d(x) Restrictions - Grade Match: Each material theme must be at least the same grade as the item you’re creating (e.g., to craft a Premium item you can’t use Discount Plant). - Resource Cost: For every theme linked to the creation, you spend one unit of the appropriate measurements (Bits, Bunches or Bulk). The number of units equals the tier of the created items Example: You want to craft a premium Assault rifle and decide that materials needed are Minerals and Tech. The rifle is a Large item and Tier 3, so the cost will be 3 bunches of Tech and Minerals.  You succeed on your crafting roll, and downgrade your tech and minerals resource dice by 3 steps each.
