A Casino game in Elysia, and the preferred game of the Fixer 8-Ball ### Set Up 1. Up to 7 players may play against the dealer 2. The Players and the Dealer use multiple d12s to play this game. Each die shows a value between 1 and 12. 3. Players place an Ante that is greater than or equal to the table's Minimum bet or less than or equal to the table's Maximum. ### Bottom line 1. The Goal of Common Man's Hand is to get a better hand then the Dealer 2. If your hand is better, then you win your Ante and your bet 3. If the Dealer has a better hand, then you lose your ante and you bet. 4. If the Dealer and player have an equal strength hand, then an additional dice is rolled until there is a winner. ### Game Sequence 1. All the players that paid the ante roll 2d12. 2. Players may decide to **PLAY** or *Fold*. >[!player]+ Player Action >- **Play:** Place an additional wager equal to the Ante and continue to play the hand. >- **Fold:** Discard their cards, lose their Ante, and sit out for the remainder of the hand. 3. Once all players have elected to **PLAY** or *Fold*: >[!dealer]+ Dealer Actions >- The Dealer rolls 2d12 and sets them aside. This is the Dealer's hand. >- The dealer then rolls 5d12 and places them in the center. These are the *Community Dice* ### The Winner 1. The players and the dealer create the highest 5 card hand out of their 2 individual dice, and 3 of the communal dice. 2. Players that have a higher ranking hand than the dealer win both their ante and their bet. 3. Players that have a lower ranking hand than the dealer lose their ante and their bet. 4. Players that have an even strength hand with the dealer roll an additional 1d12 until there is a winner. 5. After all bets have been closed, new antes are placed and play starts over again. ### Hand Hierarchy | Hand | Ranking | | :------------ | :------ | | 5 Aces (12s) | Highest | | 12-8 Straight | | | 5 of a kind | | | 4 of a kind | | | Full House | | | Straight | | | 3 of a kind | | | 2 pairs | | | 1 Pair | | | Highest dice | Lowest | - Even strength hands are ranked by the value of the dice. 2 pair of 1's and 2's are beaten by 2 pair of 3's and 2s. ## Example of Play >[!summary]- Set Up >- 4 Players walk up to the table and determine they want to play. >- The Tables minimum is 1 and a maximum of 100. >- Player 1 places lt;/span> 2 as his bet >- Player 2 bets lt;/span> 1 >- Player 3 bets lt;/span> 3 >- Player 4 bets lt;/span> 2 ![[Common Man's Hand 0.png]] >[!summary]- Initial Hand >- Player 1 rolls a 7 and a 1.
